Kub is a cup that breaks the stigma of one-time use products being of low quality. Kub is made of coRncrete, a material consisting of sand, maizena and water. When cooked in a microwave oven this mixture becomes very strong and stiff. The solubility of coRncrete provides the possibility to degrade the cup easily and reuse the material after a short life cycle. A still to be developed coating will provide the perfect gradation of solubility to enhance both comfortable drinking and degradability.

Kub is created following the design method Material Driven Design (MDD) developed by Elvin Karana, Bahareh Barati, Valentina Rognoli and Anouk Zeeuw van der Laan. The process in this method is as following:
